Last week on Project Runway All Stars season 4 the designers had to design ready to wear looks out of separates and a fashion forward dress as well. Many of the designers on Project Runway All Stars 2015 aren’t used to making ready to wear looks and in the end one more designer on fell short. Tonight on Project Runway All Stars 2015, the designers will have to design bridesmaids dresses, but this wouldn’t be Project Runway All Stars 2015 if there wasn’t a twist. The twist is, they are for an actual ceremony that will be officiated by none other than Alyssa Milano. Keep reading to find out what happens tonight on Project Runway All Stars 2015!
Tonight’s episode starts off with the designers finding out that they will be designing bridesmaids dresses, but these dresses will have to be designed so that they can be reused later down the road. The bride’s dress is from Marchesa, which is Georgina Chapman’s line of dresses. The designers get to sketching and get to Mood for their fabrics.
When they get back to the workroom, the designers get to work, but Sonjia is having a hard time figuring out what she wants to do. She didn’t have anything sketched when they went to Mood and she just picked a couple of fabrics hoping something will come of it. This could be really bad!
Zanna comes in to see the designers but she brings Georgina Chapman’s brother and CEO of Marchesa, Edward Chapman in to help her out with the critiques. They are both very impressed by the bases, but they are all told that their dresses need to be elevated. Sonjia is starting to construct a really great dress and so are the other designers’, but Sonjia was the one I was most worried about because she went into the workroom with no ideas.
It is now time for the fittings, Dmitry’s dress looks exactly like the one the bride was wearing when they met her, Michelle’s dress is ill-fitting, Sonjia’s dress is really pretty and came out great for a last minute design, Helen’s dress looks similar to everything else she has made this season, really safe and Fabio’s looks interesting, it doesn’t scream bridesmaid to me.
Runway time! The guest judge tonight is Cat Deeley! I don’t like Helen’s dress, it is really boring and simple, Fabio’s dress looks really sloppy on the bottom and Michelle’s dress is ill-fitting, but the model wears it well. Dmitry’s dress is pretty, but it too much like the one the bride had on when they met. I have to say, I love Sonjia’s dress the most! Great color and it is something that can be worn again.
Isaac is very adamant about all the dresses being awful, he said that this week is by far the worst runway show so far. Every one of the judges had a different opinion about each dress, this could really end in five different ways. The judges seemed to like Helen’s dress the best, but it was very safe. Sonjia was the other high scoring dress, but there were a lot of mistakes. I think it is going to come down to Fabio and Michelle in the bottom two.
The winning designer this week is Helen, her and Sonjia are safe this week. Dmitry had a low score, but is safe, which leaves Fabio and Michelle in the bottom. The designer going home tonight is Fabio!
