We have reached the end of Project Runway All Stars season 4 and tonight we will find out who won Project Runway All Stars 2015? The finalists on Project Runway All Stars 2015 are Dmitry Sholokhov, Sonjia Williams and Helen Castillo and last week was a little rough on one of them, check out my recap of Project Runway All Stars season 4 right here to find out who had to fight for their spot in the finale!
Tonight it will be up the judges as to which of the three designers and their collections will win Project Runway All Stars season 4. The finalists on Project Runway All Stars 2015 will have to design a collection that includes looks that are suitable for all four seasons of the year. I can’t wait to see what they come up with and finally find out who won Project Runway All Stars season 4! Keep reading to find out with me!
Tonight’s finale starts off with the finalists sitting on the rooftop of their hotel and Alyssa Milano walks up and gives them their final challenge They have to design eight pieces, two looks for each season. They have four days and $3000 as a budget. The finalists sketch right there on top of the hotel and then go shopping at Mood for their fabrics.
Helen has all of her looks draped by the end of day one, Sonjia and Dmitry are not as far ahead as Helen is, but she still has a ton of sewing and fitting to do. You can tell that the pressure is on because Sonjia and Dmitry are bickering already, this is going to be interesting!
Zanna comes in to do her critiques and she tells Sonjia that she needs to make sure that her model still has a shape with some of the fabrics that she is using. She tells Dmitry that he can’t hand stitch everything and he needs to not be so meticulous because he is not going to have enough time. She tells Helen that she needs to not be so predictable and she tells her that she needs to use color, not just black and white.
They then get a visit from Farouk Shami from Chi Haircare and they are doing consults for their looks and winner of Project Runway All Stars will have one of their looks featured in Chi’s next ad campaign. At the end of day two, they are all running behind schedule and they are all pretty nervous. The next day when they get into the work room, they find some helpers! Kate, Jay and Fabio have come back to help them out.
The models have been fitted and the looks are coming together. At the start of day four, they only have their helpers for a few more hours so they are really utilizing this time. After the helpers leave, they designers are going in with their models for their consults on hair and make-up. After that it is time for some last minute alterations and then it is runway time!
The first designer to hit the runway is Sonjia and her spring looks are very nice, but I really like the red lace dress in her summer look. Her fall color combinations are spot on and her winter looks are nice, I feel like her winter dress isn’t very wintery though, it is sleeveless.
Dmitry is the next up and I love his spring looks, very professional and classy, but I’m not a fan of the blue summer dress he has on there. One of his fall dresses looks like it has a huge marijuana leaf on it, but his winter looks are very nice and well put together.
Helen is up now and her spring looks are nice, one of her summer looks is a little simple. I’m not a fan of her second fall look at all, it looked very unflattering. Her winter looks are very classy and nicely colored after she was told to ditch the black and white looks.
Sonjia is the first in front of the judges, Isaac starts by congratulating Sonjia on some great looks. She gets great reviews about her red lace dress, they love the color and they also loved her jumpsuit. They also really loved her yellow coat that she made.
Dmitry is next up and Alyssa told him that his dress with the marijuana leaf on it is her favorite. He gets great reviews about all of his looks except for the second spring look, the white skirt suit, they don’t like the jacket. Isaac really liked that his collection had an 80s vibe to it.
Helen is the last one up there, Zac tells her that he really wanted to see more evolution from her, but he tells her that there is a lot that he loves about her collection. Isaac loves the gray skirt that she made in the look I hated, I like the look, I hate the styling of it. She is told that she did a good job overall. I think based on the critiques it is between Dmitry and Sonjia.
The decision is in! Third place goes to Helen, second place goes to Sonjia and that means that the winner of Project Runway All Stars season 4 is Dmitry!
